  • Tot Shabbat

    Tot Shabbat is a monthly Shabbat morning program, led by CDT members and educators Susan Moser and Tal Shalom-Kobi, for children age 5 and under and their parents. Join us in celebrating Shabbat with songs, stories, crafts and other fun activities!

    Come celebrate the Festival of Lights! There will be activities for all ages, adults and kids both together and separate! We will begin together with candle-lighting and Chanukah songs at 4:30pm – bring your own menorah and 8 candles for lighting! Followed at 5pm by workshops and dinner.

    This event is at FUUSN (the First Unitarian Universalist Society of Newton) 1326 Washington Street in West Newton.

  • All-Ages Erev Shabbat Service / Potluck

    6 pm - Candle lighting and dinner;
    6:45 pm - Service

    Once a month, we gather for a potluck vegetarian dinner followed by a musical, all-ages erev Shabbat service. Join us for this fun, musical erev Shabbat experience appropriate for adults and kids of all ages (especially kids in pre-school through 4th grade).  We’ll end at 7:30 pm with Oneg Shabbat (dessert). Please bring a vegetarian/dairy main dish to share - enough for 15-20 people.

    End Shabbat in your PJs with prayers, stories, songs, cocoa and community. The evening is targeted to 3-6 year olds, though older and younger siblings are most certainly welcome. We will be sure to send everyone home for bedtime!
